Controller

No data protection officer has been appointed, as the statutory thresholds of § 38 BDSG are not met.

Cookies and device storage

This site sets no cookies and writes nothing to your device. No localStorage, no sessionStorage, no fingerprinting. Because nothing is stored on or read from your terminal equipment, the consent requirement of § 25 TDDDG does not apply — which is why you are not being asked to dismiss a banner.

Hosting and server log data

The site is hosted by Vercel Inc., 340 S Lemon Ave #4133, Walnut, CA 91789, USA. When you request a page, your browser necessarily transmits technical data that is processed to deliver it:

  • IP address of the requesting device
  • Date and time of the request
  • Requested URL and HTTP status
  • Referring URL, where your browser sends one
  • Browser and operating system identification (user agent)

Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The legitimate interest is the technically secure and reliable delivery of the site. This data is not merged with other sources and is not used to identify you.

Transfer to a third country: Vercel is a US provider. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place, and transfers are covered by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses together with supplementary measures. Vercel is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

Vercel Web Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to see which pages are read and how visitors arrive. It is a deliberately limited tool:

  • It sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device.
  • It does not create a persistent identifier for you and cannot follow you across other websites.
  • Requests go to a path on this domain, not to an external host, so no third-party connection is opened from your browser.
  • Data is aggregated: page path, referrer, coarse country, device category and browser — not an individual profile.

Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in understanding, in aggregate, which research is actually read. Given that no identifier is stored and no cross-site tracking takes place, this interest is not overridden by your interests.

Vercel Speed Insights

We also collect anonymous performance measurements — how quickly pages render for real visitors (Core Web Vitals: LCP, CLS, INP). These are timing values tied to a page, not to a person, and are used to find pages that load slowly. Same provider, same legal basis, same absence of cookies.

Fonts and external resources

All typefaces are served from this domain. Your browser makes no request to Google Fonts or any other font host, so no data reaches a third party for the purpose of displaying type. There are no embedded videos, maps, social plugins, advertising networks or tag managers.

Links to other sites

Pages here link to the products being reviewed and to their vendors' documentation. Following such a link takes you to a site we do not control, where that provider's own privacy policy applies. Links to Slaide carry a utm_source parameter so that referrals from this publication can be distinguished; links to competing products carry no tracking parameters.

Retention

Server log data is retained by our hosting provider for a short period for security and troubleshooting and is then deleted or anonymised. Analytics data is stored in aggregated form only and cannot be traced back to an individual, so no person-related deletion period applies to it.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we process about you (Art. 15)
  • Rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16)
  • Erasure (Art. 17)
  • Restriction of processing (Art. 18)
  • Data portability (Art. 20)
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21) — this applies to the analytics described above
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent (Art. 7 (3))

To exercise any of these, write to info@slaide.de. Note that because we store no identifier for you, we may be unable to link a request to specific data — in that case Art. 11 (2) GDPR applies.

Right to lodge a complaint

You may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of your residence, place of work or the place of the alleged infringement. The authority competent for the controller is:

Changes to this policy

If we add a function that processes data differently, this page is updated before that function goes live, and the date below changes with it.
